Skagit Minnow
This one is an old favorite of mine, originally tied by Mike Kinney. Mike has over 25 years of experience guiding in the pacific northwest and it shows in the patterns he’s developed over the years. Depending on the color scheme and size the Skagit Minnow can be used for all sorts of pacific salmon, from cutthroat to kings. As many of you know, there is no substitute for marabou when it comes to motion, and this pattern has it in spades. This particular setup has been a winner for many anglers targeting winter steelhead, so make sure you have a few in your box over the next couple of months.
